Add Tasks to a Patient’s Checklist

Path: Clinical tab > Patient Chart button > Tasks > New Task button
Path: Practice Management tab > Patient Chart button > Tasks > New Task button
Path: Billing tab > Patient Chart button > Tasks > New Task button

The Add Tasks to a Patient’s Checklist window will add tasks to the patient’s chart.

Task Information

The Task Information must be completed to add a task to the patient’s chart. Here you assign the task type, provide a description, add special instructions, set the task due date, and determine the department to complete the task. Diagnosis and CPT codes can also be attached to the task.

Phrase Construction button

The Phrase Construction button accesses the Phrase Construction window to find a phrase for the task description.

Add button

When a task is entered, click the Add button to create a second task in the patient’s chart.

OK button

When a task is entered, click the OK button to add the task to the task list.

Cancel button

Click the Cancel button to avoid adding a task to the patient’s chart.
