Carequality is a national HIE (Health Information Exchange) in which patient information is placed for sharing amongst health care providers.   

DIRECT messages permit point-to-point sharing of information, but they require the information creator to "push" the information directly to you, the recipient.  Carequality improves data exchange by putting all the information created by a health care provider into an online pool. You can now search the entire pool and download data on your patients to your OP.
