About Correct Patient Vaccine Record
Path: Clinical, Practice Management or Billing tab > Patient Chart button > Immunizations > Enter Immunization button > Edit / Delete tab > select the Allow Editing checkbox > Change VFC Lot Info button
The Correct Patient Vaccine Record window corrects a patient’s vaccine record when the vaccine they received came from the wrong inventory category. Correcting the record will reconcile the vaccine inventory. It is necessary to make these adjustments so the VFC tracking reports accurately reflect the VFC inventory usage.

About Correct Patient Vaccine Record

The Correct Patient Vaccine Record window corrects a patient’s vaccine record when the vaccine they received came from the wrong inventory category. Correcting the record will reconcile the vaccine inventory. It is necessary to make these adjustments so the VFC tracking reports accurately reflect the VFC inventory usage.
How does this work?
A patient received a non-VFC vaccine. It was later determined that the child was eligible for a VFC Vaccine. First, you will need to choose the patient’s correct VFC eligibility status. Then, click the Update button.
Three (3) processes will occur:
- A new inventory item will be created using the same lot number but designated as VFC inventory.
- The patient’s record will be updated with the new eligibility status and linking lot number ID.
- Another inventory item will be created, taking a vaccine from an existing VFC lot and designating it as non-VFC for use at a later time. If there is not a lot to choose from, then a reminder will be created:
[Lot item is a reminder: Non-VFC owes VFC] or [… VFC owes Non-VFC]
