About Developmental Milestones
Path: Clinical, Practice Management or Billing tab > Patient Chart button > Development > Narrative or Graphical tab > New button
The Developmental Milestones window applies narrative or graphical milestones to a patient’s chart. There are two Developmental Milestone windows:
- Developmental Milestones (Narrative)
- Developmental Milestones (Graphical)
Developmental Milestones (Narrative) Map
Number | Section | Description |
1 | Inform Fields | The Inform fields set the following milestone information: date, recorded by (examiner), informant (parent, guardian, etc.), age milestone was achieved, and the milestone age search. |
2 | Patient Age Comparison | The Patient Age Comparison displays the patient’s age, gestational age, and corrected age. |
3 | Add to Note button | The Add to Note button adds a Developmental Milestone note. It begins the note with the patient’s age and the informant about the milestone. |
4 | Milestone List | The Milestone List displays the Milestones to be achieved by the patient. Milestones are categorized by age. |
5 | Phrase Construction button | The Phrase Construction button access the Phrase Construction window to find a phrase for the Milestone Note description. |
6 | Milestone Note | The Milestone Note displays the Milestone Note as it is being created. |
7 | Resources button | The Resources button provides web access to information on various categories. |
8 | Save button | The Save button saves the Milestone note and applies it to the Narrative Milestone list in the Development Evaluation window. |
9 | Cancel button | The Cancel button cancels the Developmental note and closes the Developmental Milestone window. |
Developmental Milestones (Graphical) Map
Number | Section | Description |
1 | Inform Fields | The Inform fields set the following milestone information: date, recorded by (examiner), informant, and Override age. Enter the override age value only if you want the system to auto-apply an age other than the child’s current age. |
2 | Patient Age Comparison | The Patient Age Comparison displays the patient’s age, gestational age, and corrected age. |
3 | Milestone List grid | The Milestone List grid lists the milestones and age the milestone is normally achieved. The evaluation score can be set along with any observations and instructions in this grid. |
4 | Links button | The Links button provides web access to information on various categories. |
5 | Save button | The Save button saves the Milestone note and applies it to the Narrative Milestone list in the Development Evaluation window. |
6 | Cancel button | The Cancel button cancels the Developmental note and closes the Developmental Milestone window. |
