We are currently updating the OP Help Center content for the release of OP 14.19 or OP 19. OP 19 is a member of the certified OP 14 family of products (official version is 14.19.1), which you may see in your software (such as in Help > About) and in the Help Center tabs labeled 14.19. You may also notice that the version number in content and videos may not match the version of your software, and some procedural content may not match the workflow in your software. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we make these enhancements.

There are two methods to change the Patient Portal Password:

  • Resetting the Password in OP
  • Resetting the Password as an administrator in the Patient Portal

Resetting the Password in OP

Note: Before using the Create/Validate Button for the first time, ensure you have the correct E-Correspondents set up for the OP Patient Portal.

If you have to reset a Patient Portal password and there is already an account created:

  1. Click on the Create/Validate button located next to the grayed out email.

  1. This will bring up a dialog box, confirming that you wish to reset the password.

  1. You will now get a dialog box with the new temporary log-in information for the Patient Portal account. Please pass this information along to the account holder as an e-mail will not be sent to the parent.

  1. The account holder will be prompted to change their password once they log-in with this temporary log-in information.

The temporary password will always be the patient's account number in OP 14.
