Function-Specific Improved Functionality

Patient Chart / Immunizations / Sync Registry

Function:
The Wisconsin Immunization Registry (WIR) no longer requires sending VFC Eligibility information for historical immunizations. OP 14 has been sending V00 for VFC Eligibility in the OBX field for historical immunizations, which results in errors in the report. OP 14 needs to be updated so that it no longer sends a VFC Eligibility value for historical immunizations.
Solution:
Enhanced the software to ensure that OP 14 no longer sends to the WIRVFC Eligibility information in the OBX field for historical immunization..

Function:
The Florida Immunization Registry (FL SHOTS) has requested that OP 14 populate the OBX-5 (Funding Source) segment. OP 14 needs to be enhanced to meet this requirement.
Solution:
Enhanced the software so that OP 14 populates the OBX-5 segment with one of the following Funding Source values when sending immunization information to FL SHOTS:
Value            Description
PHC70          Private funds
VXC1             Federal funds
VXC2             State funds.

Function:
The Tennessee Immunization Information System (TennIIS) has a new requirement for values for the OBX-5 (Funding Source) segment. Currently, OP 14 sends a value of Y or N for this segment. The new requirement is that OBX-5 must be populated with either State or Private. OP 14 needs to be updated to meet this new requirement for the OBX-5 segment.
Solution:
Enhanced the software so that OP 14 populates the OBX-5 segment with one of the following Funding Source values when sending immunization information to TennIIS:
  • Private
  • State

Function-Specific Resolved Issues

Patient Chart / Immunizations / Sync Registry

Issue:
OP 14 was sending a value of 999 in the RXA-2 segment to the Texas Immunization Registry (ImmTrac2). This value did not match the ImmTrac2 requirements. Also, OP 14 did not capture and report to the ImmTrac2 information regarding Immunity of Varicella (History of Chicken Pox) according to ImmTrac2 requirements.
Resolution:
Updated the software to ensure that OP 14 sends a value of 1 in the RXA-2 segment when sending immunization data to ImmTrac2. This update also ensures that OP 14 captures and reports information regarding Immunization of Varicella (History of Chicken Pox) according to these ImmTrac2 requirements:
  • OP 14 sends a value of 9999 in the ORC-3 field.
  • OP 14 sends a value of 999 in the RXA-6 field.

Solution ID: 00008992

Issue:
OP 14 was sending to the Nevada Immunization Registry (WebIZ) the wrong codes for Funding Source for immunization information.
Resolution:
Updated the software to ensure that OP 14 sends the correct codes for Funding Source for immunization information to WebIZ. With these changes, OP 14 sends the following codes:
Value            Description
PHC70           Private funds
VXC51           Public VFC
VXC52           Public non-VFC

Solution ID: 00008963

Issue:
When sending immunization information to the Mississippi Immunization Information Exchange (MIIX), OP 14 was populating the OBX-5 segment (Answers) with values of Y and N for the LOINC code of 64994-7. The MIIX does not accept these values for this segment and only accepts values of Federal, Private, or State.
Resolution:
Updated the software to ensure that OP 14 populates the OBX-5 segment with one of the following Answers values for the LOINC code of 64994-7 when sending immunization information to the MIIX:
  • Private
  • State
