Issue a Patient Refund

To enter a refund, the amount to be refunded must first exist as a credit in the patient's account. 

  1. Click on the Patient Account button .
  2. Click on the Credit tab .
  3. Click on the Refund button.
  4. The Patient Credit Account window will open, select the following:
    1.     Date: Defaults to today's date of service, change if needed.
    2.     Refund Method: Select what type of payment method the refund will be.
    3.     Refund from Patient Credit: The amount to be refunded to the patient.
    4.     Note: Enter the check number and details/explanation for the refund, if appropriate.
    5.     Click the Save/Post button at the bottom to save changes and exit.
