In this section, the provider will be guided through how to add orders for diagnostic tests while in a note.

Add a Diagnostic Test

Assess/Plan Tab: Lab Tab

  1. Click the Lab tab from Assess/Plan.
  •   Diagnostic tests associated to the template will display in the Lab Picklist section. 
  1. Click the checkbox under the Add column to remove or add any diagnostic test displayed. 
  2. Click into the text field labeled "Click here to order another diagnostic test". 
  3. The entry window opens for input. 
  4. Click the drop-down arrow in the Diagnostic Test Name field or begin typing the test name. 

Assess/Plan Tab: Lab Tab

  1. Select a test from the list.
  2. Add Special Instructions (optional).
  3. Add Dx (optional). 
  4. Select Department from the drop-down to send the task.
  5. Click the green plus button  next to the red minus button  to add a new order. Continue to do this until all orders appear.
  6. Click the green check button  to Save, located at the bottom of the window. This will add the selected test to the lab test list and you can add a second test if needed. 
  7. Click the green plus button  next to the Do Now button to Assign Tasks to the selected departments to complete the diagnostic tests orders.  
  8. Click Ok on the Confirm Window to send the Task.
