Medical Records Configuration and Customization in OP Portal

OP sets all defaults to share all information. Any individual decisions by Practice-users to restrict information sharing (access, use, or exchange) are the responsibility of the Practice in the implementation of its 21st Century Cures Act Information Blocking policies and procedures for its Practice and patients.

The medical records feature in the patient portal allows patients to access their recent medical information. This article explains the default configuration on the OP Portal side for importing and updating medical records and provides information on how to adjust these settings.

Customize Medical Records View in OP Portal

Patients/Parents will see sections for Medical Records, Documents, Labs, and Patient Education on their left navigation bar. To change the home page widgets, and the widgets on the Medical Records page, see the Customize the Home Page article.

Medical Data

When a patient logs into the portal, the system will import all recent medical information. Additionally, the system will update and refresh the medical records whenever the patient selects the "Medical Records" module in the portal, checking for any new data.

Note: Sending and submitting forms such as New Patient Registration will be added to the OP Portal in a later phase.
