About Medication Finder

Path: Clinical, Practice Management or Billing tab > Patient Chart button > Medications > New button > Ellipsis button (...) in Drug field
Path: Clinical tab > Medication Favorites button 

The Medication Finder locates medications. Using the Medication Finder you can:

  • View medications on the All Favorites tab.
  • View medications on the Matching Favorites or Master List tabs if the drug name was entered in the Drug Name field.
  • Delete a medication from the All Favorites tab.
  • Edit a medication from the All Favorites tab.

Drug Name search barThe Drug Name search bar locates the medication by typing in the drug name (up to 35 characters). It is suggested to type at least 4 to 5 letters.

Matching Favorites tabThe Matching Favorites tab displays the medication search results in the medication grid.

All Favorites tabThe All Favorites tab displays all the medications marked as a favorite on the Prescription Writer window.  Medications are grouped by category.

InteractionsWhen prescribing a medication, checking interactions will occur depending on which checkboxes are selected. For additional information on where the interaction preferences are set, click here.

FormularyWhen prescribing a medication, formulary checking can occur if the Check formulary checkbox is selected. For additional information on where the formulary checking preference is set, click here.

About Medication Finder

Path: Smart Toolbar > Chart button > Medications tab > + button > Ellipsis in Drug field

The Medication Finder locates medications. Using the Medication Finder you can:

  • View medications on the All Favorites tab.
  • View medications on the Matching Favorites or Master List tabs if the drug name was entered in the Drug Name field.
  • Delete a medication from the All Favorites tab.
  • Edit a medication from the All Favorites tab.
