Medications (Privacy)

Version 14.19

Overview

Medications privacy can be entered in two different ways:

  • Through the Edit Drug Details window
  • Through the Prescription Writer

Edit Drug Details

You can set the privacy level for a prescription through the Edit Drug Details screen:

  1. Access the Edit Drug Details window (Utilities Menu > Manage Clinical Features > Medication Favorites > Select Medication > Edit Drug Details).
  2. Select the Privacy Level for the medication.  The visibility level of Any Staff Member (shown below) includes the visibility on the portal.  To hide an item from being visible on the portal, select Clinical Staff Only (includes clinical staff plus providers) or higher in the Privacy Level dropdown.

Prescription Writer

You can set the privacy level for a prescription at the time of writing the prescription:

  1. Access the patient's Chart.
  2. Select the Medications tab.
  3. Create the medication or select the medication in the medication list to open the Prescription Writer window.
  4. Click the Notes/Visibility tab.
  5. Select the Visibility dropdown.  The visibility level of Any Staff Member (shown below) includes the visibility on the portal.  To hide an item from being visible on the portal, select Clinical Staff Only (includes clinical staff plus providers) or higher in the Visibility dropdown.

Overview
