These are the minimum requirements to run the OP/Parallels application. You will likely need more resources to achieve a reasonable level of performance and run other applications at the same time. Please consult with your IT professional to determine an appropriate hardware configuration for your needs.

Exam Room / Workstation PCs
- Windows 11: 32/64bit is supported
- Windows 10: 32/64bit is supported
- Windows Server: 2016 and newer
- Windows Embedded
- Mac OS: 12.0 and newer
- iOS: 13.0 and newer
- Android: 9.0 and newer
- Processor: 1.8GHz dual-core minimum
- RAM: 8GB recommended
- Hard Drive: 32GB space or larger recommended
- Monitor: 17" LCD minimum, (minimum resolution: 1920x1080)
Note: OP does not support Windows 10 in S mode. Windows 10 in S mode only runs applications available in the Microsoft Store. You will need to switch out of Windows 10 in S mode to run the OP software. Follow these instructions on Microsoft's site for more information on how to switch out of Windows 10 in S mode. |
Laptop and Tablet
- Windows 11/10 are supported.
- RAM: 2GB minimum
- Size: Recommended minimum 12" screen size
- Processor: 1.8GHz dual core minimum
Note: OP does not support the Windows Surface RT tablet. |
Thin Devices / Smart-phones
Apple iDevices are supported with the installation of a free App Store app.
- Connection: Recommended 3G/4G connection to allow for remote connectivity to OP Cloud.
- Storage: 8GB minimum
- Bluetooth keyboard/mouse are also supported.
- Printing from this device is not possible at this time.
Android tablets/phones are supported with the installation of a free Market app.
- Connection: Recommended 3G/4G connection to allow for remote connectivity to OP Cloud.
- Storage: 8GB minimum
- Bluetooth keyboard/mouse are also supported.
- Docking stations are supported.
- Printing from this device is not possible at this time.
Thin Client PCs
- Thin client machine must be capable of supporting standard Microsoft RDP protocol.
- RAM: 512MB minimum
- Storage: 4GB minimum
- Linux based thin clients are supported provided the installation of third-party 2X client.
Printers
- Required network attached printer.

Scanners
Note: Please note that scanning can only be done on a Windows-based workstation. |
- TWAIN-compliant models are required.
- Approved document scanners:
- Fujitsu fi series scanners
- Xerox docu-mate series scanners
- Insurance card scanners can also be used in the OP Cloud. Approved models include:
- Scan Shell 800DX/N
- BizCardReader 901
- BizCardReader DuplexScan 1200
