Non-Integrated Clearinghouse

Overview

Office Practicum offers the flexibility to use any clearinghouse of your choice that best suits your practice’s needs. However, there are limitations of particular services that your clearinghouse may offer but Office Practicum will not support.  Those unsupported services are associated with non-integrated clearinghouses only.

Unsupported Services using a Non-Integrated Clearinghouse

  • Claim file must be manually uploaded to non-integrated clearinghouse portal.
  • Insurance can not be validated directly through OP, insurances are validated using an outside website.
  • Claim acknowledgements do not come directly into OP but show only on the clearinghouse portal.
  • Rejections show on clearinghouse portal but not in OP.
  • No Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) posting.

In order to use OP in its maximum billing capacity, it is recommended to use an integrated clearinghouse.
