Function-specific Improved Functionality

Utilities / Manage Clinical Features / Medication Favorites / Edit Drug Details

Function:

For patient-safety reasons, end users should not be able to edit critical fields in the Medications Favorites list for medications tied to an NDC #.

Solution:

Enhanced the software to ensure that end users are not able to edit critical fields in the Medications Favorites list for medications tied to an NDC #. With this enhancement, the following fields in the Edit Drug Details window are locked down for medications tied to an NDC #

  • Form
  • Strength
  • Licensing type
  • NDC#
  • Rx Drug ID

Note: If an end user needs to edit these Drug Details fields, they must click the Ellipsis button at the end of the Drug or Device field and select a new drug with a valid corresponding NDC#.

Resolved Issues

Non Function-Specific Resolved Issues

Issue:

Some modal windows unexpectedly opened multiple times.

Resolution:

Updated the software to ensure that modal windows open only once.

Function-Specific Resolved Issues

Utilities / System Admin / Archive Records

Issue:

When the end user used the Archive Medical Records window (that is, the Bulk Archive tool) to archive notes, the Bulk Archive functionality did not archive Well Visits. Consequently, when the end user tried to finalize well visits through the Well Visits tab in either Schedule and Practice Workflow or the Patient Chart, OP software did not actually finalize them. It appeared to process the archive successfully, but the note still appeared unfinalized to the end user and remained on the Unfinalized list within the Well Visits tab in Schedule and Practice Workflow.

Resolution:

Updated the software to ensure that end users can successfully process Well Visit Notes using the Bulk Archive functionality.

Schedule and Practice Workflow / Tracking

Issue:

When the end user attempted to open a Well Visit window from the Tracking window (by right-clicking on the Tracking window and selecting Well Visit from the popup window) without selecting an appointment, OP 14 displayed the, “Field ‘PATNO’ Not Found” error message.

Resolution:

Updated the software so that OP 14 does not display an error message when the end user opens a Well Visit from the Tracking window without selecting an appointment.

Patient Account

Issue:

When the end user attempted to open the Patient Account window (either by clicking Accnt on the toolbar or pressing F12), OP 14 displayed an error message. With this issue, when the end user closed the error message and attempted to search for and select a patient in the Patient Account window, OP 14 displayed another error message.

Resolution:

Updated the software so that OP 14 does not display any error messages when the end user opens the Patient Account window and searches for and selects a patient in the Patient Account window.

Patient Account / Payments

Patient Account / Credits

Issue:

When the end user posted credits and money, OP 14 did not debit/deduct the amount on the account. With this issue, OP 14sapplied the payment only to E/M charge balances and did not display as a debit in the Credits window.

Resolution:

Updated the software to ensure that, when the end user posts credits and money, OP 14 successfully debits/deducts the amount from the account. With this update, OP 14 successfully displays the payment in the Credits window of the selected account.
