Search for Scanned Items

Function:
The Search for Scanned Items window needs to be reorganized and reformatted to make it easier for the end user to search for and review results. It should also allow the end user to customize the result grid to offer optimal relevancy and usability for the end user.
Solution:
Enhanced the Search for Scanned Items window to make it easier for the end user to search for review results. These enhancements include retaining recent search criteria when the end user completes a search, closes the Search for Scanned Items window and then reopens it. Also, the hover-over information for the Search field at the top of the window clearly designates the function of this Search field. These enhancements also include a reorganizing of the search criteria to make it more intuitive to the end user to enter details for the search and allowing the end user to customize the Search Results grid so that the end user can organize the search results for optimal relevancy and usability for the end user. Lastly, these enhancements include the moving of the thumbnail section so that it is next to the Search Results grid and adds multi-page thumbnails to the image display.

OP Patient Portal / Online Patient Services / Instamed 

Function:
Instamed Merchant Services allows patients to submit payments over the OP Patient Portal and now allows payments using EChecks. However, OP 14 does not currently support ECheck payments.
Solution:
Enhanced the software so that OP 14 successfully processes ECheck payments from the OP Patient Portal through Instamed.

Patient Account / Charges and Claims

Function:
Many Payers are beginning to require that the Unit of Measure for administered vaccines be included on claims. OP 14 needs to display on the Claims form the Unit of Measure for administered vaccines.
Solution:
Enhanced the software so that OP 14 displays on Claims the Unit of Measure for administered vaccines. OP 14 populates this field with the value entered in the Dose Size/Units field in the Vaccine Code Table Details window and displays it on 837 files and the CMS 1500 form.

Schedule and Practice Workflow / Well Visit

Function:
OP 14 recently added functionality that assigns a Rendering Provider to an Encounter when the end user opens the Encounter from the Schedule and if the appointment is in a column that is associated with a Rendering Provider. OP 14 needs to apply this same feature to Well Visits.
Solution:
Enhanced the software so that OP 14 automatically assigns a Rendering Provider to a Well Visit when the end user opens the appointment from the Schedule and if that appointment is in a column that is associated with a Rendering Provider.

Search Documents Window

Issue:
The Search Documents window was not displaying consent options. Also, OP 14 was not clearing the image if there was no image associated with the Consent record.
Resolution:
Updated the software to ensure that the Search Documents window displays consent options. Part of this update also ensures that the window clears all previously displayed images if the end user selects a Consent that has no images associated with. Also, this update resizes the Attach button so that text displays correctly and moves IDs below the image to improve formatting and usability.

Schedule and Practice Workflow / Calendar
Solution ID: 00008820

Issue:
When a Provider logs on and opens an appointment scheduled with another Provider, OP 14 displays the prompt, “This patient is not on your schedule. Do you want to claim this appointment?” If the Provider selects No, OP 14 is supposed to select the Scheduled provider for the appointment.
With this issue, OP 14 populated the Scheduled Provider field with the name of the Rendering Provider (the Provider logged on and accessing the appointment).
Resolution:
Updated the software so that, when a Provider logs on and opens an appointment scheduled with another Provider and answers No to the “Claim this Appointment” question, OP 14 successfully populates the Scheduled Provider field with the name of the Provider originally scheduled for the appointment.

Patient Account / Charges

Issue:
When the end user attempted to post charges for a patient that was scheduled with a Provider that did not match the Rendering Provider on the Claim, OP 14 displayed the error message, “Rendering provider does not match scheduled provider.” OP 14 required the end user to acknowledge this message twice before continuing to post charges.
Resolution:
Updated the software to ensure that, when the end user attempts to post charges for a patient that was scheduled with a Provider that does not match the Rendering Provider on the Claim, OP 14 only displays the warning message, “Rendering provider does not match scheduled provider” if the appointment slot belongs to a Rendering Provider but the Superbill lists a different Rendering Provider.

Patient Account / Claims
Solution ID: 00008808

Issue:
OP 14 was populating the Loop 2300HI field in the 837I field with Qualifier ABJ, which indicated that the next value (the diagnosis) was for an Inpatient rather than an Outpatient). This resulted in Payers rejecting the 837I claims.
Resolution:
Updated the software so that OP 14 does not populate the HI segment with incorrect data so that Payers do not reject 837I claims.

Manage Documents / ChartCapture

Issue:
If a patient had no OP 14 documents, the ChartCapture button did not function correctly.
Resolution:
Updated the software so that, if a selected patient has no OP 14 documents, clicking the ChartCapture button works successfully.

Messages / Direct Messages

Issue:
When the end user extracted a CDA record from a Direct Message, OP 14 was not copying the patient’s name and ID from the CDA record to the Direct Message the CDA record was attached to.
Also, when the end user saved a document attached to a Direct Message, OP 14 was using the ID of the end user that imported the message as the person to review the document. OP 14 should use the name in the To field of the Direct Message to indicate the reviewer.
Resolution:
Updated the software so that, when the end user extracts a CDA record from a Direct Message, OP 14 successfully copies the patient’s name and ID from the CDA record to the Direct Message the CDA record was attached to.
Also, when the end user saves a document attached to a Direct Message, OP 14 successfully uses the name in the To field of the Direct Message to indicate the reviewer.
