Function-specific Improved Functionality
Schedule and Practice Workflow / Schedule
Patient Chart / Encounter Notes
|Function||OP Version 14.8.16 introduced an improvement that associated a Rendering Provider with an Encounter Note as soon as a nurse opened the note in the Schedule.|
However, as a result of this improvement, OP 14 always assigns the Rendering Provider as soon as a nurse opens the note regardless of whether the patient has multiple appointments scheduled for the same day or only a single appointment. Some practices prefer that, for patients that are scheduled for only one appointment on a given day, OP 14 not assign the Rendering Provider until the Rendering Provider opens the note.
|Solution:||Enhanced the software so that, for patients that have only one appointment scheduled for a given day, OP 14 associates the Rendering Provider with an Encounter Note in the Schedule only when the Rendering Provider opens the Note. If the end user is not the Rendering Provider, OP 14 displays a prompt asking if the end user wants to claim the Encounter. For patients that have more than one appointment scheduled on the same day, OP 14 continues to assign the Rendering Provider to the Encounter based upon the Scheduled appointment.|
Non Function-specific Resolved Issues
There are no resolved issues in this release that impact the overall application.
Function-specific Resolved Issues
|Issue:||The end user could not run any queries on the SQL tab of the DB Viewer.|
|Resolution:||Updated the software to ensure that the end user is able to run all valid queries on the SQL tab of the DB Viewer.|
Solution ID: 00008954
|Issue:||When the end user selected the Include Records/Sections with Limited Visibility (EFR) checkbox to mark an Encounter Note to a higher visibility level and then printed the Note, OP 14 did not retain the higher visibility setting in the PDF file the end user accessed through Document Management. With this issue, OP 14 printed the PDF file as though the visibility level were set to “Any Staff Member” and treated EFR Notes as though they were not protected.|
|Resolution:||Updated the software to ensure that, when the end user creates and prints an Encounter Summary Report and selects the Include Records/Sections with Limited Visibility (EFR) checkbox, OP 14 retains in the PDF file in Document Management the visibility level that the end user sets in the Encounter Note and only displays the document in Document Management when an authorized user selects the EFR button in the Document List panel.|
