We are currently updating the OP Help Center content for the release of OP 14.19 or OP 19. OP 19 is a member of the certified OP 14 family of products (official version is 14.19.1), which you may see in your software (such as in Help > About) and in the Help Center tabs labeled 14.19. You may also notice that the version number in content and videos may not match the version of your software, and some procedural content may not match the workflow in your software. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we make these enhancements.

Function-Specific Resolved Issues

Utilities / Manage Clinical Features / Medication Favorites

Issue:

The initial release of the expanded NDC validator tried to iterate over ALL Favorites (not just those tagged as STANDARD). As a result, DME and Compounded medications are incorrectly marked Invalid when users sweep the list. A database change was also required to resolve this issue.

Resolution:

Updated the software and the database NDC_BLANK_REASON = STANDARD. When a user is Managing their Med Favorites, clicking the Validate NDC button will cause the software to determine if the NDC is valid and make sure the drug details (such as form, strength, etc) match that which is currently found in the Master List. If they do not match, that medication favorite will be flagged as Invalid and highlighted red.  If a med favorite does have a valid NDC, and the drug details only differ by a very narrow margin (for example, a missing space, or perhaps a capitalization error - i.e. oral suspension instead of Oral Suspension), then OP will correct these minor differences and update the med favorite so that it is completely up to date with the FDB Master List data.
