To enter the information that is required for ePrescribing, access the Staff Directory window.

Information presented for alternative medications is limited to Drug Description, Formulary Source, Formulary/Coverage Limits and Copay Information (as depicted in the following screen capture).

In some cases, a provider (often a mid-level provider, for example, an NP or PA) will have another provider (a Supervising Provider) supervise their activities.

A Proxy or Prescriber Agent is any individual who creates and transmits a prescription on behalf of a provider.

Occasionally, an eligibility check will yield a result which says “Pseudo_Health_Plan.”

Viewing a previously written and transmitted prescription from the Medication List displays the drug’s RxNorm value if one exists.
