We are currently updating the OP Help Center content for the release of OP 14.19 or OP 19. Patients - Administration

To administrate this application, click the  and select "Preferences" from the dropdown list. You will be able to choose from the following options:

  1. Configure Online Payments - If you use one of our supported online payment gateways through your practice, selecting one of these options enables a "Pay Now" link next to the Balance Due field on the Patients Application. The administrator will tell the portal how to link up to an external payment page by using the Instamed ID fields to enter the practice's personal identification number. Once these fields are set, the user will be able to click the "Pay Now" link, which takes them to the appropriate payment page for each patient's balance.
  2. Allow online appointment confirmation - Creates a "Details" link next to the description of any upcoming appointment marked as "Awaiting confirmation" status for any of the listed patients. Clicking on this link will take the user to a confirmation page, allowing for the user to click a button that confirms their next appointment. This can be used in lieu of a phone reminder from the office.
  3. Allow users to confirm appointments that have not been marked "Awaiting confirmation" within OP - Normally portal users can only confirm appointments marked "Awaiting confirmation" status, but checking this box will allow users to confirm any appointment that is within the specified days in the future. For example, a user could confirm an appointment in "Unconfirmed" status 9 days before the scheduled date if you mark this box and specify the number '9'.
