OP Patient Portal Applications: Write Message -- Application Usage

Version 14.19

Write Message - Application Usage

Users are expected to use this form to send general questions and concerns to the office about medical matters. To convey this point, there is a very clear message at the top of the application stating that it shouldn't be used for urgent communication.

The application is set up very similarly to a basic e-mail form. If you've enabled it in the Administration, the user will have the option to select a staff member from the dropdown box. They will then type in an optional subject line, and their message. After clicking send, the message will be sent to the patient portal, recorded in the Current Patient's chart, and Office Practicum will send a Red Phone message to any staff member that has been designated to receive that message (This is defined in the patient portal Administration).

If the portal user wishes to see a message they've sent before, they can find it in the Messages Application.
