OP Report Share/Batch Import

Overview

OP Report Share is a reports utility that will enable users to share practice reports with users at other practices. The utility is located under the Tools menu. If you are missing the option for OP Report Share, contact our Support Team. This article will instruct how to export a report, import a report using OP Report Share, import a report using Batch Import, and locate imported reports.

Export an OP Report (.oprep)

Once you have identified a report that you would like to share, follow these steps to download the report as an .oprep file for sharing.

  1. Click Tools in the main menu bar.
  2. Select OP Report Share.
  3. Select the radio button to Export reports to external file.
  4. Click Next. A listing of all available OP Reports will show.
  5. Select the report you would like to share.
  6. Click Next.
  7. The destination will prefill but may be changed by clicking Browse according to where you would like to save the file. For information on saving reports exported from the Cloud, click here.

  • You also have the option to use the date/time as the file name or use a specified name by selecting the appropriate radio button. If entering a specified name, be sure to leave the ".oprep" at the end of the file name to indicate the file type.
  1. Click Export. A progress window will appear. 
  2. Click OK and close the Office Practicum - Reports Import/Export Utility window.
Note: You will then send the report file that has been saved to the recipient of the report.

Import a Report into OP Reports using OP Report Share

Once an .oprep file has been obtained, follow these steps to import the report file into OP as an .rtm file.

  1. Access the report file and save it to a location of your choosing.
  2. Click Tools in the main menu bar.
  3. Select OP Report Share.
  4. Select the radio button to Import report(s) from file.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Locate the file to import using one of the two options:
  • Select the File radio button and click Browse to locate the file
  • Select Folder if that is the location of the saved file.
  1. Select the report and click Import.

Locate the Imported Report in OP Reports (if Imported via OP Report Share)

  1. Click Tools in the main menu bar.
  2. Select OP Reports.
  3. Log into OP Reports using the same credentials that you use to log into OP.
  4. The imported report will appear in the top level folder where the report originated but may be dragged to the appropriate folder.
Note: If you import a report that already exists in your OP system, the newly imported report will be saved with "(renamed [date imported])" at the end of the report name.

Import a Report using Batch Import in OP Reports 

  1. Click Tools in the main menu bar.
  2. Select OP Reports.
  3. Click Import and select Batch Import Reports.

  1. Click OK in the pop up advising that the imported file will be placed in the All Folder root folder. The Select report files to import window will open.
  2. Navigate to and select the report to import.
  3. Click Open.

Locate the Imported Report in OP Reports (if Imported via Batch Import)

  1. Click Tools in the main menu bar.
  2. Select OP Reports.
  3. Log into OP Reports using the same credentials that you use to log into OP.
  4. The imported report will appear in the All Folders folder and may be dragged to the appropriate folder.

Importing .rtm Files

Ensure the .rtm File is on Your Workstation

  1. Download .rtm file by following the procedures detailed in the Diag_Test_Single RTM Download article. After following the download process, the .rtm file will be located on a folder on your workstation (for example, the Downloads folder). 
  2. Check your workstation and ensure that the Diag_Test_Single .rtm file downloaded successfully.  

Import the .rtm File into Your OP 14 Solution

  1. Log on to OP 14. 
  2. Click Tools in the menu bar.
  3. Select OP Reports.
  4. Log on to OP Reports using the same credentials that you use to log on to OP 14.
  5. Click Import.
  6. Select Batch Import Reports. OP 14 displays a popup message stating, "Imported files will be placed in the root folder - All folders. Reports can be dragged and dropped into other folders."
  7. Click OK. OP 14 displays a browse window.
  8. Browse to the folder you downloaded the .rtm file to. This usually follows the path: Network > tsclient > C:/ > Users > [user name] > [download folder].
  9. Double-click on the .rtm file to select it. 
  10. Click Open in the browse window. OP 14 imports the selected .rtm file into the All Folders panel in OP Reports.
  11. Locate the imported .rtm file in the panel.
  12. Drag-and-drop the .rtm file to move it to the correct folder (for example, the Chart_Rpts folder).
  13. Open the folder you moved the .rtm file to (for example, the Chart_Rpts folder).
  14. Verify that you successfully moved the .rtm file to the selected folder.
  15. Rename the old report that you will no longer be using (for example, Diag_Test_Single). To do so:
  1. Right-click on the .rtm file.  
  2. Select Rename from the menu.
  3. Enter a new name for the report, for example: Diag_Test_Single(archived).
  1. Rename the .rtm file you imported (for example, diag-test-single) so that it follows the format: Diag_Test_Single (note the underscore between the words and the capital letters). 

The .rtm file you imported is now in the same folder and has the same name as the previous version of the file that you archived.
