OP Patient Portal Features

Portal Features

FeatureDescription
Insurance PageDisplays the Insurance tab in the Patient Portal.
Allow Proxy AccessWill enable the Add Proxy link in the Patient Portal.
Allow Patient Configured NotificationsTurns on or off email notifications for patients that are registered on the Patient Portal. Below is a list of the notification types when the section is expanded.
  • Appointment Reminders (will display a generic notification 2 days prior to the appointment)
  • Cancel Appointment
  • Reschedule Appointment
  • New Medication
  • New Appointment
  • New Message
Show PharmaciesAllows a pharmacy selection when requesting a medication refill. The pharmacy selection is independent of the pharmacy selection in OP.
Allow Referral RequestsWhen turned on, the Request a referral option is displayed on the patient's home page.
Allow Appointment RequestsWhen turned on, the Request an appointment option is displayed on the patient's home page.
Allow Med Refill RequestsWhen turned on, the Refill a medication option is displayed on the patient's home page.
Allow Ability to Send MessageWhen turned on, the Send a message option is displayed on the patient's home page. Below is a list of the message types when the section is expanded.
  • Allow Patient to Send Message: Allow a parent to send a message to OP on behalf of the patient. This option should remain on.
  • Allow Self Registered Person to Send Message: Allow a parent to send a message to OP when self registering a patient. To prevent message failure, this option should remain off.

Message and Display Format

  1. Click Practice Name to setup the message display format.
  2. Select a message display format.
