About the Patient Chart: Tasks
Path: Clinical, Practice Management, or Billing tab > Patient Chart button > Tasks (Communication group)
The Patient Chart is the central point of access to all areas of a patient's complete Medical record. Use the Patient Chart to access and maintain patient records. The Tasks window contains the Patient's Checklist within the Chart window. Orders and tasks can be opened and created from this tab. Also, tasks currently listed in the tasks grid can be edited and deleted from this tab.
Note: Just like a paper chart, the Office Practicum chart, and other windows in Office Practicum, contain personal health information that should be kept confidential. You should treat all windows in Office Practicum (like F8 Chart) just like you would treat a paper record of patient health information, never leaving that record out in the open for others to see. More specifically, you should always close all windows on your screen and log out of Office Practicum when you are done at your workstation.
Patient Account: Tasks Map
The Tasks button opens the Tasks window in the patient's chart.
|New Order||The New Order button adds an order to the patient's account using the Order Worksheet.|
|New Task||The New Task button opens the Add Tasks to a Patient's Checklist window. This add a single task to the patient's chart.|
|Edit button||The Edit (pencil icon) button edits a selected task in the Task List grid.|
|Delete button||The Delete button removes a selected task from the Task List grid.|
|Show radio buttons||The Show radio buttons determines what is viewable in the Task List grid. Select Incomplete only to display tasks that still need to be completed. Select All to show all tasks in the task list grid.|
|Expand grid||The Expand grid checkbox expands and collapses the categories within the Task List grid.|
|Task grid||The Task List grid lists the tasks on the patient account. Tasks that can be viewed in this grid is determined by the Show radio buttons.|
About Patient’s Checklist
Path: Smart Toolbar > Tasks button
The Patient's Checklist serves as a "Reminder" list of tasks to be completed by providers or staff members regarding a specific patient's care or records. Each Checklist task or item is assigned to a department or area of your practice (e.g. Billing, Front Desk, MD, Nursing), and given a due date for completion. All Checklist items assigned in a given day or week can also be monitored by the office staff or manager to ensure that each task is completed in a timely fashion.

|+ Orders button||The + Orders button opens the Order Worksheet window. You add tasks, medications, labs, immunizations, etc by clicking this button.|
|Add (+ icon) button||The Add button opens the Add Tasks to a Patient’s Checklist window. You add tasks to the patient’s checklist using this button.|
|Delete (- icon) Button||The Delete button deletes a selected checklist task.|
|Edit (Pencil icon) button||The Edit button edits a selected checklist task.|
|Save (checkmark) button||The Save button saves an encounter note in progress.|
|Cancel (x) button||The Cancel button cancels the changes.|
|Refresh button||The Refresh button refreshes the checklist task grid data.|
|Print button||The Print button prints the report for the highlighted patient.|
|Checklist Task grid||The Checklist Task grid displays the checklist task data.|
