We are currently updating the OP Help Center content for the release of OP 14.19 or OP 19. OP 19 is a member of the certified OP 14 family of products (official version is 14.19.1), which you may see in your software (such as in Help > About) and in the Help Center tabs labeled 14.19. You may also notice that the version number in content and videos may not match the version of your software, and some procedural content may not match the workflow in your software. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we make these enhancements.

Pharmacy-Initiated Refill Requests

Version 14.19

Pharmacy-Initiated Refill Requests

If you are unable to locate a pharmacy in the SureScripts Master List, contact the pharmacy. The pharmacy is responsible for contacting SureScripts and requesting to be added to the network. OP Support will not be able to add a pharmacy to the SureScripts Master list.

Surescripts requires that, if a prescription originally included a Prescriber Agent and/or a Supervising Provider, that the eRx Refill Summary display this information if Surescripts sends it to OP as part of a refill request. However, the information displayed depends on the information that Surescripts sends to Office Practicum. This is also true for information related to Prescriber Agents. If the original prescription is written by a Presciber Agent, it is possible that information about the Prescriber Agent will be included as part of the information displayed.

Note: If you need to refill a prescriptions and were not the prescribing provider, best practice is to deny the prescription and send a new prescription using your provider credentials.

Additionally, as part of OP's proprietary ePrescribing system, pharmacy-initiated refill requests also include the Supervisor field. If the prescriber selects a Supervising Provider, the Supervisor is included in the message OP 14 sends to Surescripts.
