Introduction to Determining Medicaid Volume using the OP Software (Promoting Interoperability: Stage 3)
You can use your OP software to indicate your Medicaid volume based on provider and group for a specified attestation period. The patient volume reporting period may be dependent upon state regulations.

Objective 3 includes two measures a practice must attest were implemented and enabled during the reporting period.
Objective 4: Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE)
For >60% use computerized provider order entry (CPOE) for medication, laboratory and diagnostic imaging orders.
Objective 5: Patient Electronic Access to Health Information
Objective 5 requires that a patient is given timely electronic access to their health information and supplied electronically patient-specific education material
Objective 6: Coordination of Care Through Patient Engagement
Objective 6 requires a practice to use certified electronic health record technology (CEHRT) to engage patient/parent/guardian in care. An eligible professional must attest to all three measures and meet the threshold for two measures for this objective.
Objective 7: Health Information Exchange
Objective 7 requires a practice attest to all three measures and meet the threshold for two measures for this objective. If an eligible professional takes exclusion for all three measure they may be excluded from meeting this objective.
Objective 8: Public Health and Clinical Data Registry Reporting
Objective 8 requires a practice to attest the eligible professional is in active engagement with a public health agency or clinical data registry. The eligible professional must meet two of the five measures for this objective.
