Schedule and Practice Workflow: Tasks

Version 14.19
The Schedule and Practice Workflow tabs were split throughout the ribbon and main navigation panel in OP 19 for easier convenience. Since the Help Center supports both OP 14 and OP 19, these previous Schedule and previous Practice Workflow functions will still be referenced at the same Help Center locations as OP 14.

About Tasks

The Schedule and Practice Workflow window combines a number of forms to help you get your work done faster and more efficiently. The Schedule and Practice Workflow window consists of a calendar, patient tracking, messages, a task list, encounter information, well visit information, diagnostic tests, referrals, documents, surveys, and a patient prescription queue.

The Tasks window displays an overall view of patient tasks.  From this tab you can monitor open tasks and perform follow up.

Date RangeTasks can be displayed based on Date Due or Date Requested for a selected begin date and end date.

StatusTasks can be displayed based on the task status.  You can select:
  • All Status: Every status is displayed in the task list.  
  • Selected Statuses: When the selected statuses radio button is chosen, select which status(es) of tasks to view from the Status dropdown menu.

3Department(s)Tasks can be displayed based on the Department to which they were assigned. 
  • All: All tasks will be displayed for the set parameters.
  • Mine: All tasks for the departments in which the user is assigned will be displayed.
  • Selected Department: When the selected department radio button is chosen, select which department's tasks you would like to view.

LocationsTasks can be displayed based on selected locations.  
  • Choose all authorized locations to display tasks for all locations within the practice.  
  • Select a location from within the dropdown box to display tasks for a specific location within the practice.

Description containsSearch tasks using search word(s) in the Description contains field. A word within a task description that matches the word used in this field will display in the task grid. Words used in this field must be exact.

Search buttonThe Search button searches the task descriptions for the key term entered in the Description contains field. Matches appear in the Task grid.

Print buttonThe Print button prints the displayed task list in the Task list grid.  When the Print button is selected, the Print Preview screen is displayed.

Tasks gridThe Tasks grid displays the list of open tasks.
