When to Use this Report

Use this report to view a summary of appointments scheduled for a specified time frame on your practice’s schedule.  

About Charges Per Scheduled Appointment

Path: Tools > Reporting > Scheduling Reports > Charges Per Scheduled Appointment

This report allows the user to review practice productivity by comparing charges billed to appointment types. It also serves as an unbilled charges report to help ensure that visits billed are appropriate for the scheduled visits.

Hover over each of the Summary Tiles, to see specific data. For instructions on how to drill down and expand that information from the Summary Tiles, please see the Drill Down section of the Data Element Tutorial.

Note: All columns in the Detailed Report section will show by default. To hide columns, see the Visualization section of the Maximized Elements article.

Filters and Summary Tiles

Appointment Date Use this filter to select the date(s) you wish to search based on the date of the appointment.
See the Dates section of the Filter Tutorial article for the different selections.

Scheduled Provider Use this filter to select a provider(s) associated appointments.

Rendering Provider Use this filter to select the provider(s) who performed the service for the appointments.

Location Use this filter to select the Location(s) of the appointments.

Appointment Types Use this filter to select the Appointment Types you wish to pull in this report.

Patients The Patients tile shows the total number of patients pulled in this report based on the selected parameters. This is a distinct patient count pulled from the Patient column.

Charges The Charges tile shows the total amount of charges pulled in this report. This is pulled from the Total Charges column.

Appointments The Appointments tile shows the total number of appointments pulled in this report.

Weekly Charge Trend The Weekly Charge Trend bar graph shows the total charges per appointment date per week based on the parameters of the report.

Appointment Date The Appointment Date column lists the date of the appointments in groups. You can minimize the individual appointment dates to refine the search.

Appointment Type The Appointment Type column lists the appointment type as set in OP. You can minimize the individual appointment types to refine the search.

Total Charges The Total Charges column displays the total amount of charges for the combined services rendered for that patient.

Total Patient Appts. on Schedule This column shows the total number of appointments on the schedule for this patient.

Patient The Patient column displays the full name and patient ID of the patient associated with the appointment. You can minimize the patient to refine the search.

Patient Level Total Charges This column shows the total amount of patient owed charges for the combined services rendered.

Billing Status The Billing Status column displays the Billing Status associated with the appointment, as seen on the Tracking Screen (Superbill Exists, etc).

Charge CPT The Charge CPT code column lists the medical code for the visit on the date of service with the associated charge.

Charge CPT Description This column lists the description of the CPT code for the visit on the date of service with the associated charge.

Charges The Charges column shows the amount of charges for the individual service (Charge CPT column).

Rendering Provider The Rendering Provider column lists the name of the Provider who performed the service.

Location The Location column displays the location for the appointment. This is useful for practices that have multiple locations.

Superbill CPT The CPT code that is on the superbill.
n
Superbill CPT Description The description of the CPT code that is on the superbill.
o
Superbill Transaction ID# The OP assigned transaction number that is associated with the superbill.
