VIS Links in the Patient Education Library
Links to current editions of Vaccine Information Sheets (VIS) or Immunization Information Sheets (IIS) in both English and Spanish can be placed in the Patient Education Library, organized under the source OTH (Other). These links can be utilized as resources in well check templates or in specific shot-only visit nursing templates. If you would like to add or edit the VIS section of your practice’s Patient Education library, all required information for each of the available VIS can be found in the below PDF document.
Please note the name changes from existing VIS entries in the patient education library, which your practice may or may not have already addressed:
- HPV Gardasil is now HPV VIS
- HPV Gardasil (SPANISH) is now HPV (SPANISH)
- Men A VIS is now Men ACWY VIS
- Men A VIS (SPANISH) is now Men ACWY VIS (SPANISH)
- PCV13 VIS is now PCV (Pneumococcal Conjugate) VIS
- PCV13 VIS (SPANISH) is now PCV (Pneumococcal Conjugate) VIS (SPANISH)
You will want to review your existing templates to confirm that any VIS listed in the Orders/Workflow section, Resources tab, match to current entries in your Patient Education library.
